Legend: Bac. =Baccalaureate <br />P.A. = POST Advanced <br />P.I. = POST Intermediate <br />P.B. = POST Basic <br />There shall be no maintenance requirement. <br />Only employees hired prior to March 1, 1985, shall be eligible to participate in the Police <br />Department Incentive Program. <br />Payment shall be made by a separate check on or before June 5 and December 5 of each <br />calendar year. <br />Effective March 1, 1990, the Police Department Incentive Program was terminated. Those <br />sworn employees participating in the program at the time of termination shall continue to <br />receive, by separate payment, that percentage which equals the level of education- <br />experience category achieved as of the date of the program's termination. Such payment <br />shall not continue once an employee terminated employment as a sworn member of the San <br />Leandro Police Department. <br />B. Educational Incentive Program <br />Represented employees with four (4) full years or more service with the San Leandro Police <br />Department or any other sworn law enforcement experience who are not eligible for the <br />Police Development Incentive Program, shall be eligible for the following educational <br />incentive program. <br />Category Certificate Monthly Amount <br />A P.I. 4% <br />B P.A. 6% <br />or <br />C A.A. 4% <br />D Bac. 6% <br />Legend: P.I. = POST Intermediate <br />P.A.= POST Advanced <br />A.A.= Associate Degree <br />Bac.= Baccalaureate <br />Maximum amount payable under the educational incentive program is six percent (6%). <br />Payment shall be made by separate check on or before June 5 and December 5 of each <br />calendar year. Such payments shall not continue once an employee terminated employment <br />as a sworn member of the San Leandro Police Department. <br />In addition, employees in the PDIP program may elect to discontinue participation in that <br />program and participate in the educational incentive program set forth in this section. <br /> <br />
