IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-159 (2660) <br />RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING THE CITY'S FINANCE DIRECTOR, ASSISTANT CITY <br />MANAGER AND CAPTAIN OF POLICE AS STAFF AUTHORIZED TO APPLY TO THE <br />GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES ON THE CITY'S BEHALF FOR <br />FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOLLOWING A DECLARED DISASTER <br />WHEREAS, following the declaration of a disaster, the City of San Leandro will be eligible <br />to apply for certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. <br />Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance <br />under the California Disaster Assistance Act. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE that the <br />City's Director of Finance, Assistant City Manager and Captain of Police are hereby authorized to <br />act as agents for the City of San Leandro for the purposes of applying for said financial assistance <br />through the Governor's Office of Emergency Services. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Badger and passed and adopted this 5th day of December, <br />2005 by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Grant, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; Mayor Young (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Nardine (1) <br />ATTEST: Ate. <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
