IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO. 2004-026 (1156) RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTINUATION OF A REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE FOR THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF ALAMEDA/CITY OF SAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA RECITALS WHEREAS, the Alameda County - City of San Leandro Redevelopment Project was adopted on July 12, 1993, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda by Ordinance No. 0-95-5, as amended, and by the City Council of the City of San Leandro by Ordinance No. 93-012, as amended; and WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law did not require the formation of a proj ect area committee at the time of Plan adoption and still does not require the formation of such a committee in an existing project area; and WHEREAS, the City Council wished to foster active public participation in the redevelopment process and thus created a voluntary committee for citizen and property owner involvement in 2000; and WHEREAS, the voluntary redevelopment advisory committee (RAC) for the project area has been meeting regularly since 2001 and has now reached the end of the designated initial term; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The formation of project area committee is not required by the Community Redevelopment Law, but the City hereby voluntarily chooses to maintain a redevelopment advisory committee on an ad hoc basis. Section 2. The City Council hereby appoints the residents, business owners, and property owners in the project area listed on Exhibit A to the Joint Project Area Redevelopment Advisory Committee, which shall have a maximum membership of twelve. Section 3. The City Council hereby approves the Joint Project Area Redevelopment Advisory Committee Guidelines attached to this Resolution as Exhibit B and incorporated hereby as reference. Section 4. The City Council hereby authorizes the Executive Director of the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Leandro (or his designee) to continue to administer the Joint Project Area Redevelopment Advisory Committee pursuant to these procedures with these members.
