IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-046 (3000) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO COMPROMISE AND SETTLE <br />CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY TO A CERTAIN MAXIlV1UN1 AMOUNT <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager has authority to compromise and settle workers' <br />compensation claims against the City to a maximum of $50,000; and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the dollar limits for which the City Manager is <br />authorized to settle outstanding workers' compensation claims in order to provide a more <br />expeditious claims resolution process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Manager is hereby authorized to compromise and settle as the best interests <br />of the City of San Leandro may dictate, any and all workers' compensation claims up to a <br />maximum of $100,000. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Santos and passed and adopted this 12 day of April, 2004, <br />by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; Mayor Young(7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
