IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-065 (2972) <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2004-2005 CONSOLIDATED ACTION PLAN TO <br />IMPLEMENT THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES OF <br />THE 2000-2005 CONSOLIDATED PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL <br />RELATED DOCUMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER AND SUBMISSION OF THE PLAN <br />TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and <br />the National Affordable Housing Act, the federal government has made block grant funding <br />available to Iocal communities for housing and community development activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted by Resolution No. 2000-58 on May 5, <br />2000, the 2000-2005 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; and <br />WHEREAS, a Consolidated Action Plan has been prepared reflecting the activities that <br />the City proposals to fund and implement during FY 2004-OS and a copy of is attached hereto; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has held two public hearings, solicited public <br />comment for 30 days by publishing a summary of the Plan in the newspaper and by providing <br />the Plan at City Hall and on the City's website; and <br />WHEREAS, all public comments received, if any, were considered in the contents of the <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends execution and submission of said Action <br />Plan with Certifications as attached. <br />
