The City will consider a new Inclusionary zoning ordinance to expand the <br />Redevelopment Inclusionary housing requirement citywide. This proposed <br />ordinance would replace the existing ordinance which requires that projects with <br />more than 20 multi-family units provide 10% of the units for low to moderate- <br />income families. <br />• Local lenders, under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), participate with <br />the City in providing homebuyer counseling services and loans to first time <br />homebuyers. <br />• Non-profit Resources San Leandro continues to work with support service <br />providers to finance programs and activities which provide shelter, technical <br />assistance, housing counseling and support services to families "at-risk". The <br />City has also provided funding for capital improvement to some of these <br />agencies. The agencies (and programs shown in parentheses) which have <br />received funding in the past include: <br />^ Building Futures for Women and Children (San Leandro Shelter) <br />^ Davis Street Community Center (Family Support Services) <br />^ San Leandro Community Counseling (Subsidized Mental Health for Low <br />Income Families in Crises) <br />^ Alameda County Community Food Bank (San Leandro Food Purchase <br />Program) <br />^ Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay (Adult Day Services) <br />^ Calico Center (San Leandro Child Abuse Victims Interview and <br />Coordination Project) <br />^ Community Resources for Independent Living (San Leandro Independent <br />Living Services) <br />^ Advocacy and Referral Agency (Independent Living for Deaf, Deafened, <br />Deaf-Blind and Hard-of-Hearing People) <br />^ Family Service Counseling Center (Mental Health Services of San <br />Leandro for Low Income Families) <br />^ Family Violence Law Center (Domestic Violence Services Collaborative) <br />^ Girls Incorporated of Alameda County (Pathways Counseling Center for <br />Family Strengthening) <br />^ San Leandro Adult School (HOPE) <br />^ San Leandro Boys and Girls Club (Project Learn) <br />^ San Leandro Public Library Foundation (Project Literacy) <br />^ Senior Services Inc.
