A ger~cral increase in desiccation c~'ack width, depth,
and distance between cracks occun-ed from north to soutl~~. Standinb water was observed at the
northwest corner of the west pond (Area A) anti the north:ast comer of the east pond (Area C},
as shown on Ficure 2.
;vA1~~72~TOR~T TEST RF~gJL'lLS
Ana~ytic~l ,Labor~-io~y Test Results
Analytical laboratory test results for metals are sumn, arucd in Table. 2. The results of our labor~itory testing indicated metal concentration less than 10 dines
the Soluble Threshold Limit Co~icclltralirni (STLC), indicatinc that testine for soluble metals by
the Califomia ~Iaste F?xtractior~ Test (JET) method was rzot required. Table 2 also compares
the metal concentrations detected to the screening level crite~~a of the Tonal Threshold Limit
Concentration ~TTLC), STLC, and Fli~'irorunental Screening levels (ESLS)',
Analytical Jahoratory test results for TPA, PCB, SVUC, or~ai~ochloriue pesticides, and pH ai e
presented in Table 3. TPH-gasoline and TPH-nzoCor oil were clot detected above their repo~ti~~g
limits. Tl?B_ diesel was detected at concentrations ranat»g from less than 1.0 to 6.9 nlillia, ram per
kilogram (n~g/kg). All analytical .results for TPH, PCB, SVOC, aid pesticides arc below their
respective LSLs.
Geotechiiical Lnbo~~ator~~ Test Results
Gcotechnical laboratoLy testing t~> nlcasure fines content, moisture content, and dry density of
soil sarr~plcs obtainEd from the site are presented iii Table 4. Results oC gcoteclmical testing for plasticit}~ are presented on Figure ~ and
indicate the samples tested are highly plastic clay with plasticity indices (Y>"s) ranking between
35 and 50.
Testing fibs ~z~oisturc-density rclationsl ihs {i.c., compaction curves) were perfonl~ed on the three
bulk samples (5-i ihroucl~, S-3) rn accordance. with A5TMD1557-00.
