1016-1052 Davis Street-PLN2004-00031 <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration <br />April 2004 <br />D. The construction phase of development will require grading of the project site, which <br />may result in impacts related to site hydrology and water quality. These potential <br />impacts can be adequately mitigated as long as mitigation measures identified by staff <br />are implemented prior to grading permit issuance. The ntigation measures are <br />conditions of approval. <br />E. The project site has been utilized in the past as a fire station and contauis an existing w1- <br />reinforced masonry building that, due to the building's age, may have lead-containing <br />paint and/or asbestos. Potential impacts related to the possibility of on-site leadlasbestos <br />u1 the vacant fire station building can be adequately mitigated as long as conditions of <br />approval identified by staff are unplemented prior to building penzrnit issuance. The <br />mitigation measures are conditions of approval. <br />F. There is no evidence of historical or archaeological resources within the project area (a <br />city-listed historic property does exist adjacent to the site, to the north). Potential <br />impacts to unknov~m resources can be adequately mitigated as long as mitigation <br />identified by staff is implemented during the construction phase. REVIEW PERIOD: <br />The review period is from April 20 to May 19, 2004. All written continents regarding this <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration must be received by the City of San Leandro, Cormnunity <br />Development Department, Planning Services Division, 835 E. 14"' Street, San Leandro, <br />California 94577, no later than 5 p.m. on May 19, 2004. <br />A Planning Comrrrission meeting has been scheduled for May 13, and a City Council meeting has <br />been tentatively scheduled for June 7, 2004. Written and oral comments may also be made during <br />these public meetings.
