IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2004-099 (2959/3025) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR AND ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT FOR A TRANSPORTATION FUND FOR CLEAN AIR (TFCA) <br />REGIONAL GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $600,000 TO ASSIST IN <br />FUNDING THE BAY TRAIL SLOUGH BRIDGE PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) has a <br />Transportation Fund for Clean Air (TFCA); and <br />WHEREAS, one of the transportation control measures that is eligible for funding is a <br />Bicycle Facility component; and <br />WHEREAS, the Bay Trail Slough Bridge project qualifies as a Bicycle Facility based on the <br />requirements of the grant program. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to apply for and enter into an <br />agreement for a Transportation Fund for Clean Air Regional Grant to assist in funding elements of <br />the Bay Trail Slough Bridge in an amount not to exceed $600,000. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Grant and passed and adopted this 21st day of June, 2004, by <br />the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; Mayor Young (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
