IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-130 (1051) <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2004-OS FEE SCHEDULE TO <br />ESTABLISH AN EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ACCESS FEE <br />WHEREAS, on September 7, 2004, the City Council of the City of San Leandro adopted <br />an Ordinance, adding Chapter 16 of Title 2 to the San Leandro Municipal Code whereby the City <br />imposes an Emergency Communication System Access Fee on every person (excepting persons <br />entitled to an exemption as set forth in Section 2-16-215) who maintains access to the 911 <br />communications system referenced in the ordinance by subscribing to local telephone service <br />within the City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the terms of the subject ordinance, the fee is scheduled to be <br />implemented in December, 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, Section 2-16-210 provides that the amount of the Emergency <br />Communication System Access Fee shall be established by City Council resolution. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO as follows: <br />For the remainder of the fiscal year 2004-05, and until such time after this fiscal year as a <br />new Emergency Communication System Access Fee is established by City Council resolution, <br />the Emergency Communication System Access Fee called for by Chapter 16, Title 2 of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code will be $2.00 per month for "access lines" (individual phone lines), <br />$14.00 per month for "trunk lines", and $48.00 per month for "super trunk lines", as those terms <br />are used or defined in Chapter 16, Title 2. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Glaze and passed and adopted this 7th day of September, <br />2004, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; Mayor Young(7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
