IN THE CITY COUNCI[., OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2004-141 (1102) <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 80-75 AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY <br />TO COMPROMISE AND SETTLE CLAIMS AGAINST THE CITY TO A CERTAIN <br />MA~~IIVIUM AMOUNT <br />The City Council by Resolution No. 80-75 authorized the City Attorney to accept,~reject, <br />settle, otherwise compromise public liability claims filed against the City. <br />It is necessary to establish a higher dollar limit on the authority of the City Attorney to settle <br />outstanding claims in order to provide a more expeditious claims resolution process. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Attorney is hereby authorized to compromise and settle as the best interests of <br />the City of San Leandro may dictate, any and all claims up to a maximum of $25,000.00. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Santos and passed and adopted this 20`h day of September, <br />2004 by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens; Mayor Young (6) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Glaze (1) <br />ATTEST: ~ ~,~ <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
