BAAQMD FY2004 TFCA Funding Agreement <br />ATTACffi1~NT B <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The TFCA funding application dated June 30, 2004; as supplemented by the memo from Luke Sims dated <br />August 25, 2004; is incorporated herein by this reference. <br />L Project Title: Shuttle Bus Service -San Leandro LINKS. <br />2. Project Useful Life: One (1) year. <br />3. Project Description: The TFCA Regional Funds awarded by this grant shall be used by the City of San <br />Leandro to provide a shuttle bus service during commute hours for BART passengers between the San <br />Leandro BART station and employment sites on the west side of the City of San Leandro. Two (2) <br />compressed natural gas buses will be used on the shuttle route. The shuttle route will operate on 15- <br />minute headways during morning (5:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.rn.) and afternoon (3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) peak <br />commute periods, and will make connections with BART service at the San Leandro station. The City of <br />San Leandro will provide the shuttle service with a total of two (2) 40 passenger compressed natural gas <br />buses as follows: <br />Vehicle Engine <br />(2) 40-passenger buses 1997 <br />Fuel Type <br />Compressed Natural Gas <br />4. Project Goal: The goal of this Project is to reduce motor vehicle trips by providing shuttle service <br />between employment sites located on the west side of the City of San Leandro and the San Leandro BART <br />station during morning and afternoon commute periods.
