{~~~~~~~i ~ .~a <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY <br />RESOLUTION #WMA 2003 -10 <br />MOVED: HILSON <br />SECONDED: BUKOWSKI <br />AT THE MEETING HELD JUNE 25, 2003 <br />INCENTIVES FUND APPLICATIONS - <br />CITIES OF SAN LEANDRO AND HAYWARD <br />WHEREAS, the Waste Management Authority and Recycling Board have established a goal of 75% <br />diversion from landfill of wastes generated in Alameda County by the year 2010; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to reach that goal the Agency must work closely with the member agencies, and <br />with other public and private entities throughout the county; and <br />WHEREAS, throughout calendar year 2001 the Recycling Board and the Authority worked to develop <br />and approve guidelines for the 1'ncentives Fund project as one way to boost progress towards the 75% <br />diversion goal; and <br />WHEREAS, the Authority approved funding and guidelines for the project in June and October 2001, <br />and again for Fiscal Year 2002/2003; and <br />WHEREAS, the cities of San Leandro and Hayward have submitted the attached applications for the <br />Incentives Fund project; and <br />WHEREAS, the applications have been reviewed and unanimously recommended for approval by <br />both the Authority Programs Committee and the Recycling Board; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Alameda County Waste Management Authority <br />hereby: <br />Approves funding for the City of San Leandro in the amount of $91,852 for the attached <br />Incentives Fund proposal. <br />2. Approves funding for the City of Hayward in the amount of $80,000 for the attached <br />Incentives Fund proposal. <br />3. Authorizes the Executive Director to enter into agreements necessary to ensure the use of <br />funds as described in the attached applications. <br />ADOPTED BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: AKAGI, BUKOWSKI, DIETRICH, GREEN, HILSON, HOSTERMAN, <br />S.
