EXHIBIT B-1 <br />COSTS OF SERVICES <br />Payment-for all engineering services to be provided Consultant for work as set forth in Exhibit A of <br />this agreement. Payments made by the City to Consultant for engineering services shall be full <br />compensation for all personnel, materials, supplies, and equipment used by Consultant to complete <br />the regular work. _ <br />Consultant has prepared a fee request for providing Basic Engineering Services as described in <br />Exhibit A. Costs for individual tasks may wary above or below the estimates shown below for each <br />individual task, but shall not exceed $178,836. Consultant has prepared a fee request for providing <br />Optional Services as described in Appendix One -Optional Services Task 5 with an estimated cost of <br />$53,000. <br />Consultant shall not commence work or incur charges for work included in Optional Services Task 4 <br />without prior separate written authorization from the City. Such authorizations shall include a <br />description of the work to be completed, schedule for completion, and budget necessary to complete <br />the work. Work within Task 4 shall be authorized by separate Work Orders establishing specific <br />scope and budget for each Work Order. Such Work Orders shall not be construed to authorize <br />Consultant for work or costs in excess of the specific authorization contained in each Work Order. <br />Under no conditions shall the total payment to the Consultant exceed $178,837 without prior written <br />approval by the City. <br />The Not-to-Exceed fee request of $178,836consists of the following: <br />Task Description Estimated Budget <br />1 Project Management $13,121 <br />2 Preliminary Engineering $110,460 <br />3 Design Development $54,056 <br />4 Reimbursable $1,200 <br />Subtotal Basic Services $178,837 <br />5 For Optional Services: <br />Hazardous Material investigation $10,000 <br />Potholing of Existing Utilities $3,000 <br />Utility Relocation $10,000 <br />Levee Analysis and Certification $30,000 <br />Estimated Option Services: $53,000 <br />Total not to exceed amount: <br />$231,837 <br />Bay Trai151ough Bridge July 19, 2004 <br />Project No. 144-39-012 Page 23 of 26 <br />
