PUBLIC SERVICES: <br />a) Would the project result in substantial ~ ~ ~ ® ~ 11,12, <br />adverse physical impacts associated with 26 <br />the provision of new or physically altered <br />governmental facilities, need for new or <br />physically altered government facilities, the <br />construction of which could cause <br />significant environmental impacts, in order <br />to maintain acceptable service ratios, <br />response times or other performance <br />objectives for any of the public services: <br />Fire protection? <br />Police protection? <br />Schools? <br />Parks? <br />Other public facilities? <br />Discussion: <br />XIII(a): By supporting additional housing development, the Element would contribute to additional demand for fire protection, <br />police protection, schools, parks, and other public facilities. The need for these facilities has already been anticipated by the <br />General Plan and the Midtown Specific Plan and appropriate mitigation measures (such as impact fees and capital improvement <br />plans) are already in place. <br />No mitigation measures related to public services were identified in the Midtown Specific Plan EIR. In accordance with CEQA <br />and the City's environmental review procedures, each future residential project would be analyzed for potential public service <br />impacts.
