2.4.1 The Consultant, following the City's approval of the Construction Documents and of the <br />latest Statement of Probable Construction Cost, will assist the City in obtaining bids and <br />assist in awarding and preparing contracts for construction. <br />2.4.2 The Consultant shall attend apre-bid conference, and will issue Addenda to clarify known <br />bidders' questions. <br />Deliverables: Attend Pre-Bid Conference, Addenda <br />2.5 FURNITURE PACKAGE <br />2.5.1 The Consultant shall provide all normal and customary services required to <br />prepare the Furniture package and other services described below. Services <br />include: <br />^ Schematic design of FFE package. <br />^ Design Development of FFE package. <br />^ Bid Document preparation of FFE package. <br />^ Assistance during the FFE packages bid phase(s). <br />2.5.2 Furniture Scope: The Furniture Package scope consist of providing design <br />through bidding services for: <br />^ Office and workroom furniture. <br />^ Program room furniture. <br />^ Outdoor furniture at entry and children's garden. <br />^ Reader tables, carrels, computer tables and stands (includes tables and <br />carrels with power/data/lighting). <br />^ Reader and lounge and all other seating. <br />^ Library display and merchandizing units (for showcase). <br />^ Stack end panels (and tops for 45" high stacks). <br />Services shall include but not be limited to: <br />^ Guiding the client towards making a decision on the manufacturer and type of <br />furniture system to be used. This may include leading client tours to various <br />dealers and presenting analysis of the pros and cons of the most appropriate two <br />or three options. <br />^ Further defining, refining and revising furniture layouts to meet project <br />requirements. Present these to the client and revise as required to receive client <br />approval. <br />^ Prepare detailed functional furniture specifications suitable for competitive <br />bidding. These will describe all functional and aesthetic requirements including <br />but not limited to furniture manufacturer, specified items, finishes and fabric. <br />^ The Consultant will be responsible for presenting two families of options that <br />represent alternative approaches to meet the project goals. These options shall be <br />illustrated with samples, cut sheets and images from other projects. The <br />Consultant shall gather feedback from the client on options and make revisions to <br />the designs, product selections to reflect those comments. <br />2.5.3 Cost Estimating: The Consultant will be responsible for preparing designs within <br />the City's FFE budget. The Interiors Consultant shall provide: <br />^ Budget confirmation in Schematic Design. <br />^ Budget update for 60% Package Submittal <br />Washington Manor Branch Library Page 6 of 22 <br />Group 4 Architecture CSA <br />
