Upgrade the aeration tank's controller to programmable logic controller (PLC) for a more
energy efficient control strategy. Design and coordinate PLC to compliment the
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) improvements for the remaining
processing units at WPCP plant. Scope of work also involves the design of additional
mechanical equipment in the form of modulating valves and pressure sensors, which will
revise the control strategy, new piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), new
programming, coordination with the PLC manufacturer and system provider.
2. Design seismic restraint for existing piping and equipment and review the loading on the
aeration deck, along with supporting calculations as required by the Building Department.
3. The construction support services are as follows:
• Respond to contractor request for information (BFI's)
+ Attend pre-bid conference and prepare addenda.
