IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2003-16 4 (2 9 5 9 ) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY FOR A <br />TRANSPORTATION FUND FOR CLEAI~T AIR (TFCA) REGIONAL GRANT <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $600,000 <br />WHEREAS, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District has a Transportation Fund for <br />Clean Air (TFCA); and <br />WHEREAS, one of the transportation control measures that is eligible for funding is a Smart <br />Growth component; and <br />WHEREAS, the Smart Growth component of the grant program is compatible with elements <br />of the West San Leandro/MacArthur Redevelopment Flan and the MacArthur Boulevard <br />Streetscape Master Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to apply for a Transportation <br />Fund for Clean Air regional Grant to assist in funding elements of the MacArthur Boulevard <br />Streetscape improvements in an amount not to exceed $600,000. <br />Introduced by Council Member G 1 a z e and passed and adopted this <br />21st day of July 2003, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Gouncilmembers Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, <br />Stephens; Mayor Young (7) <br />NOES: 1Vone (d ) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />Attest: ~~ <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
