IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2003- ~ 8 ~+ (2 9 3 0/ 2 9 9 9) <br />RESOLUTION ENDORSING ALTERNATIVE 1 (BEATRICE STREET TRAFFIC <br />STGNALS), WITH ALTERNATIVE 4 (BEATRICE STREET TRAFFIC SIGNALS WITH A <br />DOUBLE LEFT TURN LANE AT NORTHBOUND WASHINGTON AVENUE) AS A <br />POTENTIAL FUTURE PHASE, AS THE PREFERRED CONFIGURATION FOR ALAMEDA <br />COUNTY TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY (ACTIA) PROJECT NO. 11, <br />I-880/WASHINGTON AVENUE INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR MEASURE B <br />2000 CAPITAL FUNDS, PROJECT NO. 144-39-007 <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, Caltrans proposals for the I-880 Washington AvenuelBeatrice Street <br />interchange did not meet the needs of the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is assisting Caltrans in developing new alternatives <br />that are acceptable to the public; and <br />WHEREAS, endorsement of an alternative is crucial to securing Caltrans SHOFP funds <br />and retaining Measure B funds; and <br />WHEREAS, upon selecting an alternative, the City and ACTIA can proceed with a <br />project specific funding agreement to fund design and construction; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />The City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby endorses Alternative 1 <br />(Beatrice Street Traffic Signals), with Alternative 4 (Beatrice Street Traffic <br />Signals with a Double Left Turn Lane at Northbound Washington Avenue) as a <br />Potential Future Phase, as the Preferred Configuration for Alameda County <br />Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) Project No. 11, <br />I-880/Washington Avenue Interchange Improvements for Measure B 2000 <br />Capital Funds. <br />
