l EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES PROJECT PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION The purpose of the project is to obtain a Caltrans approved Project Study Report (PSR) which proposes and evaluates alternatives for the Westgate Parkway connection to Davis Street. City has retained Contractor to perform the design work required for the PSR ("Project"). DESCRIPTION OF CONTRACTOR SERVICES Task 1: Project Management /Team Leadership Contractor shall provide Project management services for the Project. Contractor's project manager shall be responsible for managing the Contractor team, providing the resources to complete the job, monitoring the Project budget and schedule, conducting Project team meetings, implementing a quality assurance/quality control program and communicating with City and Caltrans. Task 1.1 -Progress Schedule and Budget Contractor shall prepare and monitor the project schedule and budget. Contractor shall prepare a project schedule and budget at the initiation of the project. The schedule and budget shall be monitored throughout the duration of the project. Contractor shall inform City as to changes in the schedule or budget as they arise. Task 1.2 -Project Coordination Contractor shall coordinate the design process with the appropriate local, regional, state, and/or federal jurisdictions, impacted by the Project, other City designated consultants associated with Project and the Project team throughout the Project. Copies of all correspondence to extenlal parties shall be distributed to City. Task 1.3 -Monthly Meetings Contractor shall attend monthly progress meetings with the City. The Contractor shall discuss the Project progress, issues which may affect the Project schedule and the budget and any other agenda item that the City may request for discussion.
