IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2003 - 216 (118 0 ) <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION N0.2002-17 <br />AND DESIGNATING SIGNATURES ON CITY CHECKS AND PERSONS <br />AUTHORIZED TO MAKE FUND TRANSFERS BY TELEPHONE OR WIRE <br />Section 550 of the San Leandro Charter provides that all City checks shall be authenticated by <br />the signatures of one of two designated persons in the City Manager's Office and one of two <br />designated persons in the Finance Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />Effective October 20, 2003, all monies belonging to the City of San Leandro and deposited in <br />any bank, excepting petty cash funds provided for by Section 550 of the San Leandro Charter, shall be <br />withdrawn by checks authenticated by the signatures of John J. Jermanis in the City Manager's Office <br />and Edward G. Schilling in the Finance Department. The authorization for these designated persons <br />and for Ms. Mary McCarthy, Accounting Manager, shall also include the capacity to make fund <br />transfers by telephone or wire instruction. <br />And it is further RESOLVED that Resolution No. 2002-17 is hereby rescinded. <br />Introduced by Council Member Santos and passed and adopted this 20th day <br />of October, 2003, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Glaze, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Stephens <br />(6) <br />NOES: None ~ 0 ) <br />ABSENT: Mayor Young ~1) <br />Attest: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />G:~Reso~DesSign.doc <br />
