EXHIBIT A <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1.0 DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT <br />Contractor shall provide design services for the conceptual studies and the completion of <br />construction documents for street renovations for the Downtown Area. The work will be <br />coordinated with adjacent design work. The Downtown Area, as shown on the attached Figure <br />1, is more specifically defined as follows: <br />• Washington Square Mall Pedestrian North- South Walkway-North-South <br />pedestrian path between West Joaquin and West Juana Avenue <br />• Washington Square Mall Parking Lot Lane-Eastside lane between Lyons <br />Restaurant and West Juana Avenue <br />• Washington Avenue between West Juana and Parrott Street <br />• Washington Square Mall Parking Lot Lane-Westside lane between Davis Street <br />and West Juana Avenue <br />• Hays Street between Davis Street and West Juana Ave <br />• West Joaquin between East 14th Street and Washington Square Mall (WSM) <br />Westside Lane <br />• Parrott Street between East 14th Street and Washington Avenue <br />• Washington Square Mall Pedestrian Northern East/West Pathway. The path <br />aligned east/west between and parallel to West Estudillo Avenue and West <br />Joaquin with eastern end at East 14th Street <br />• Washington Square Mall Pedestrian Southern EastlWest Pathway. The path <br />aligned eastlwest between and parallel to West Joaquin and West Juana Avenue <br />with eastern end at East 14th Street <br />• Note that the West Estudillo Avenue Corridor is not included in the above area as <br />it is included in a separate project. <br />Improvements proposed within the project area include upgrading existing street lighting <br />by replacement with, or addition of, decorative street lighting on all the above described streets. <br />Additional pedestrian and streetscape improvements are also included for special areas within the <br />Washington Plaza Shopping Center near the West Joaquin Corridor from East I4th Street to <br />CSA-Winzler and Kelly Page 3 of 30 <br />Downtown Lighting and Pedestrian Enhancements Project No. 961-83-054 <br />
