Conceptual Analysis for street lighting includes the evaluation of two alternatives: <br />1. Replace existing street lighting with new approx. 17.5' high decorative street <br />lighting and all new power system. <br />2. Add approx. 17.5' decorative street lighting at mid point of existing street lighting <br />and modify exist high street light poles and upgrade existing power system or add <br />new power system as required to operate the upgraded street lighting system. <br />Lights to be spaced as required to meet illumination requirements but are not expected to <br />align with existing streetlights positions/spacing. Exact pole spacing and height to be <br />adjusted based on cost and geometric constraints. <br />Architectural and Civil Engineering schematic design portions of the report will present <br />five (5) development options for West Joaquin Pedestrian Corridor. Contractor shall <br />provide 22" x 34" perspective graphics for each of these options. These graphics will be <br />color hand drawn or photo simulations to illustrate the perspective views. Color 11x17 <br />reductions and electronic f les for PowerPoint presentation shall be created. <br />With the assistance of City Staff, the Contractor shall combine these various options into <br />three (3) overall Project Alternatives for West Joaquin Pedestrian Corridor. A site plan, <br />cross sections, outline specifications and estimate probable construction cost shall be <br />provided for each of the Project Alternatives. Programming, feasibility, and budget <br />constraints shall also be addressed for each Project Alternative. <br />For the Decorative Street lighting, the report will define: <br />• Define the size and quantity of power conduits <br />• Define preferred position of street lighting trench <br />• Define the typical section <br />• Establish preliminary estimate of probable construction cost <br />• Define vault cover pan lids/architectural vault cover concepts <br />• Develop details/considerations for interim services <br />• Develop strategies for construction staging <br />• Develop strategies for operation staging <br />This report shall include the following drawings: <br />Landscape Architectural: Typical section and layouts for: <br />1. West Joaquin Pedestrian Corridor and surrounding areas. <br />Civil typical Section and layout for drainage and parking lot layout modifications <br />required for the West 7oaquin Pedestrian Corridor areas. <br />CSA-Winzler and Kelly Page 8 of 30 <br />Downtown Lighting and Pedestrian Enhancements Project No. 961-83-054 <br />
