<br />c. New Community Room <br />i. The goal of the Surf Community Room is to provide a setting for providing <br />amenities and services for residents of the 46-unit Surf Apartments. The <br />Surf Community Room will offer an appropriate setting for service and <br />activities which, depending on resident needs and interest, could include a <br />computer lab and classes, structured after-school and evening programs for <br />children and young adolescents, parties and social events, individual <br />consultation, regarding personal finances and first-time home buyer <br />programs, social services, such as drug and alcohol counseling, services <br />specifically targeted to single mothers such as referral for childcare <br />programs and programs for seniors. Specific programs will be planned and <br />supervised by an in-house service coordinator who works with tenants and <br />social service agencies. The Surf Community Room will provide an <br />excellent day and evening recreation space for youth and adults. <br />ii. The Surf Community Room of 450 square feet will be located in the space <br />currently housing the manager's office and is anticipated to include space <br />for classes (including computer stations) and private consultation. The <br />Community Roam will be located off the main courtyard in the Surf <br />Apartments and will be disabled accessible. The Surf Community Room <br />will be available for use of the Surf tenants only. <br />d. Miscellaneous <br />i. The construction budget is approximately $625,000. <br />1.
