12. Utility Plans <br />This Cask covers those sheets and items of work that are applicable to the existing utilities <br />and provides for the preparation of plans to show the relocation or installation of utilities <br />by both the Contractor and others, in accordance with the proposed projecC improvements <br />and plans of the utility companies. New utility plans will be prepared based on <br />information received from utility companies, and field survey data for conflict locations, <br />to show the location of existing utilities and the proposed new utilities in conflict with the <br />project construction. New utilities and modification requirements will be shown <br />superimposed on the layout plans. <br />Assumptions: <br />• There will be no utility design or construction outside of the Marina Boulevard right-of- <br />way. <br />• Utility field location or potholing will be performed by the utilities. <br />• No "cable and device", cable routing, substation, transformer, electrical equipment, <br />telecommunication, relocation, ar electrical design is included in this design except as <br />noted above. Design for relocation of utility poles will be by others. <br />• The utility owners will provide the location of existing overhead and underground <br />utilities. <br />• Design for the relocation and modification of utilities will be the responsibility of the <br />utility owners unless otherwise stated in this scope. <br />• It is assumed PG&E will furnish service power to the new street light and the modified <br />traffic signal systems. Services points will be coordinated with PG&E and shown on Che <br />appropriate system plans. <br />• No sanitary sewer gravity ar force mains, water lines, or utilities not specifically <br />mentioned above will be designed for this project. <br />• Demolition of existing utilities will be performed by the utility owners and no design will <br />be performed for the demolition. <br />• Profile drawings of existing underground electrical and telephone utilities will not be <br />provided. However, the existing utilities will be shown on project cross sections. <br />13.
