IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-62 (1955) <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND <br />THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS THAT <br />AUTHORIZES THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT CONTRACT <br />FOR THE ABANDONED VESSEL CLEAN UP PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is desirous of improving the San Leandro Marina <br />by removing Abandoned Vessels that are located within the Marina area; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Boating and Waterways is authorized to provide grants to <br />cities, counties, districts and other public agencies to assist in the cost of removing abandoned <br />vessels; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council by adoption of this <br />resolution hereby authorizes the City of San Leandro, as represented by the City Manager John <br />Jermanis, to enter into a contract with the Department of Boating and Waterways for the <br />reimbursement of costs incurred by the City to remove boats in the San Leandro Marina area. <br />The terms of this agreement shall remain until June 30, 2004 or at such time the total amount <br />reimbursed has reached $25,000. <br />That said Agreement is hereby approved and execution thereof is hereby authorized. <br />Introduced by Council Member Loeffler and passed and <br />adopted this 6thday of May , 2002 by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />Ayes: Council Members Badger, Glaze, Grant, Loeffler, Nardine, Santos; <br />Mayor Young ( 7 ) <br />Noes: None ( 0 ) <br />Absent: None ( 0 ) <br />Attest: <br />Gay e Peter n, City Clerk <br />
