EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES This scope of work represents the CD+A Consulting Team's approach for creating a creative and well-founded Land Use, Urban Design, and Streetscape Concept Plan for the southern segment of East 14th Street, and the tools that are needed to implement the plans. Phase l: Data Collection and Analysis Task 1: On-going Project Management & Additional Meetings CD+A and members of the CD+A Team use an open management approach in which communications between the consultants and the City's Project Manager will occur on an as- neededbasis and supplemented by more formal status and management meetings as required to efficiently move the project forward. Project status memoranda will be included with the monthly invoices that CD+A will forward to the Project Manager and can be followed-up with phone conferences as necessary. Work Products: ^ Monthly project status memoranda. Task 1.1: Optional Additional Meetings Attendance at additional meetings -meetings not covered within this scope of work -will be charged on a time and materials basis, per the billing rates provided in the proposed budget for the specific team members who are asked by the City to attend any additional meetings. This task maybe further discussed during Task 2.1.2, and throughout the project as necessary. Task 2: Project Initiation In this task, the CD+A Team will verify their understanding of the project and work with City Staff to refine the proposed scope of work. The CD+A Team will also gather base information for the production of a base map for use throughout the process and pertinent documents which will inform the existing conditions analysis. Task 2.1: Kick-off Meeting Task 2.1.1: Gather and Review Base Information The CD+A Team, in communication with City Staff, will gather base information for the study area, including aerial photos, GIS data, parcel data, and pertinent written documentation (the EXHIBIT A Page 1 of 14 AGRE~EXffiBITA.DOC (Word 6.0)
