Replacement Parking RDA Cooperation Agreement 2 September 8, 2009 The City and Agency have identified two locations for temporary parking lots - 262 and 290 Davis Street for the Davis/Hays Replacement Parking and 1550 East 14th Street for the Albertsons Replacement Parking. The Agency currently owns the property at 290 Davis (formerly Temptations Bar) and leases the 262 Davis Street property from the Chamber of Commerce with an option to purchase. The Agency's purchase of the East 14th Street property is currently in escrow. The Davis Street properties contain 15,550 square feet that will be used for approximately 40 leased parking spaces. The East 14th Street property contains 75,359 square feet that will be used for approximately 198 parking spaces, of which approximately 141 will be leased and 57 will be 3-hour public parking. City staff has prepared plans for construction of two parking lots for use by downtown businesses and the public while the Estudillo/Callan Parking Garage is under construction. The project will include asphalt concrete (AC) paving, striping, parking lot lights, fencing, limited landscaping, and signage. The approximately 198 parking spaces in the Albertsons Replacement Parking Lot are scheduled to be available for public parking in January 2010. When construction of the Garage commences, approximately 141 spaces will be for permit holders only, and 57 spaces will be available for 3-hour public parking. The approximately 40 parking spaces in the Davis/Hayes Replacement Parking Lot will be for permit holders only.
