ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />Public comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker per item, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br /> <br />A.Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute a Letter Amendment to the <br />Agreement Between the City of San Leandro and Alameda County Industries, Inc. <br />(ACI) (extends the franchise agreement for solid waste, recyclables and green waste <br />services for an additional 10 years). <br /> <br />Public Works Services Director Mike Bakaldin gave a short PowerPoint presentation, <br />for a rate increase, and the request by the San <br />Leandro Unified School District (SLUSD) for assistance with its solid waste service. <br />Mr. Bakaldin summarized the proposed amendments to the agreement with ACI, and <br />the agreement with SLUSD. <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Starosciak congratulated Mr. Bakaldin for his efforts to incorporate the <br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Prola agreed, and thanked representative, Louie Pelligrini, for <br />his cooperation. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos pointed out that there are three SLUSD schools outside the ACI service <br />area, and three schools in San Leandro that are in the San Lorenzo Unified School <br />District. He commented on the need to find a way to provide service to these schools as <br />well. <br /> <br /> <br />
