Page 2 of 3 <br />June 29th the Pre-Bid Meeting took place between representatives of the City of San Leandro, GE <br />Chen Construction and Project Team. <br />July 27th the Bid Proposal was submitted to the City of San Leandro for their review and approval. <br />City Council review is scheduled for September 21St. The estimate, including contingency and <br />permits is for $ 2,618,829.06. Upon City Council approval, Contractor Verification of Measurements <br />will be scheduled and done the first weeks of October. Construction will be finished 180 days after <br />Notice to Proceed is issued by the City. <br />August 21St Material Submittals were provided to Design Team by GE Chen Construction for review <br />and approval. <br />September 1St Newsletter 9 was mailed out. <br />Tentative Schedule for Phase II <br />September -Contractor Verification of Measurements to take place and RFIs will be submitted and <br />answered in a timely manner so the materials can be ordered. <br />All construction submittals will be reviewed and approved. <br />October /November -the lead time for fabrication of acoustical windows and doors is <br />approximately 8 weeks for vinyl and 12 weeks for aluminum. <br />December -Materials Inspection will be held after the components are delivered to the contractor's <br />warehouse. <br />Construction -depending on size, one or two homes will be opened per day. All 73 homes <br />should be opened and substantially complete 8 - 9 weeks from the start of construction. <br />PHASE III <br />There are 46 spots remaining to reach 200 homes. C. Kell-Smith & Associates recommends that <br />an additional 10 homes be held as alternate homes should homeowners drop from participation. <br />Solicitation has been an ongoing process with several mailings, site visits and flyers distributed <br />throughout the past 5 months. <br />Currently 380 Homes are on the Participation List. The breakdown is as follows: <br />195 Homes are within the 56 CNEL contour. <br />26 Homeowners have responded YES on their application. <br />11 Applications have been sent and a response is pending. <br />58 Homes are considered as general candidates.
