,~ ~uildin~ <br />~~tU ("e5 <br />1'95 ~ancroftr~venuc <br />5a~, Leat,c~ro: C~, ,,.~~,„ <br />~ i o.3~?.ozo~ <br />fax 5 ~ 0.35 .068 <br />www.~ ~~~U C -ors <br />Cr~s;~ ~_~~~ 1-s~~-A-VVAY-BUT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING RE <br />HOMELESSNESS PREVENTION AND RAPID RE-HOUING PROGRAM <br />This Memorandum of Understanding stands as evidence that Building Futures with Women and Children <br />(BFWC) and the City of San Leandro (City) intend to ensure a comprehensive and effective Homelessness <br />Prevention and Rapid Re-housing Program (HPRP) to achieve housing stability through homelessness prevention <br />and re-housing strategies for eligible clients, which include the homeless population and persons at risk of <br />homelessness in San Leandro. BFWC will be the lead agency, and the City will be a Partner Agency in <br />collaboration with other Partner Agencies which include Abode Services, Davis Street Family Resource Center <br />and ECHO Housing. <br />The Lead and Partner Agencies will ensure the efficient and timely use of HUD HPRP funds awarded by the State <br />of California's Housing and Community Development Department. The Lead and Partner Agencies will work <br />toward the mutual goals of providing an array of services at the City of San Leandro's Housing Resource Center, <br />including the identification and assessment of an eligible household's housing crisis, provision of appropriate <br />financial assistance, housing location and stabilization services and linkages to other critical services with other <br />programs and agencies to address the housing crisis. Effective coordination of services will ensure that client <br />services are maintained at a high quality. The Lead and Partner Agencies will adhere to all appropriate federal <br />and State requirements related to HPRP.
