CITY COUNCIL REPORTS <br /> <br /> <br />A.Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br /> <br />Councilmember Prola reported on the Airport Noise Forum meeting. At the meeting, <br />there was a report of helicopters flying over the Timothy Drive neighborhood in a non- <br />compliant flight path, and Councilmember Prola requested information on enforcement <br />of non-compliant operators. Eight carriers will be converting to the use of synthetic <br />diesel, which has a near zero carbon footprint. <br /> <br />Councilmember Souza reported on the Associated Community Action Program <br />(ACAP) meeting. ACAP is starting a new youth employment training program at <br />NewPark Mall, similar to the BETA (Bayfair Employment Training Academy) program <br />at Bayfair Center. The mall provides free space to the program, and program <br />participants are often hired by the stores. <br /> <br />Councilmember Gregory reported on the ABAG (Association of Bay Area <br />Governments) Fall General Assembly, noting there was a light turnout. <br /> <br />Mayor Santos reported that he attempted to participate in a teleconference with Valerie <br />Jarrett, Senior Advisor and Assistant to the President, but had technical difficulties. <br /> <br /> <br />B.Reports on Conferences and Seminars <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />C.Reports on City Council Committees <br /> <br /> Accepted as submitted. <br />1.Finance Committee Meeting of October 20, 2009. <br /> <br />Recommendation for City Council Consideration: <br /> <br /> <br />a. Schedule consideration and approval of a public information program for <br />revenue measures on an increase of 0.25% to the sales tax and formation of <br />a lighting and landscape district. <br /> <br /> <br />
