Hollister
City Manager
RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING THE CITY MANAGER, THE FINANCE DIRECTOR, AND
CAPTAIN OF POLICE BUREAU OF SERVICES AS STAFF AUTHORIZED TO APPLY TO
THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES ON THE CITY'S BEHALF
FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOLLOWING A DECLARED DISASTER
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION
The Governor's Office of Emergency Services (State OES) requires the City to keep current its
list of staff members authorized to apply on the City's behalf for financial assistance following a
declared disaster. A resolution identifying those designated staff members is recommended.
BACKGROUND
Analysis
It is recommended the City Manager, the Director of Finance, and Captain of Police Bureau of
Services be designated as those individuals authorized to apply for financial assistance on the
City's behalf following a declared disaster. The three staff titles, rather than individual's names,
will be filed with State OES for efficiency in future applications.
Current City Council Policy
None
Previous .City Council Action(s)
This list was last submitted to State OES in 2005.
City Council Committee Review and Action
None
Fiscal Impact
None at this time, although failure to provide State OES with an updated list of authorized staff
could cause delays in future financial assistance.
