The ordinance will cover city employees that <br />work over 1,000 hours per year and the employees of <br />city service contractors that hold contracts worth over <br />$25,000 per year. It requires payment of $9.75 per hour <br />if the employer provides health insurance of at least <br />$2.75 an hour, or $12.50 per hour if not both amounts <br />are indexed annually. <br />Manchester CT -Agri! 2006 <br />In April, the Manchester Board of Directors voted 6-3 in <br />favor of a living wage ordinance. The ordinance will <br />cover city employees and the employees of city services <br />contractors that hold contracts worth over $100,000 per <br />year. It requires payment of $10.58 per hour if the <br />employer provides health insurance, or $11.83 per hour <br />if not.
