CONCLUSION <br />The North Field Preferential Runway Use Program greatly <br />reduces the noise impacts of departing jet aircraft over <br />residential areas in Bay Farm Island by advising pilots to <br />use Runway 29 and depart over water. The modeled <br />back -blast noise associated with business jets <br />departures on Runway 29 affect fewer San Leandro <br />homes when compared to the back -blast noise from <br />Runway 27L. When comparing back -blast noise impacts <br />between North Field and South Field departures, <br />Runway 29 departures have less impact on residential <br />areas than Runway 27R/L departures. <br />no <br />
