Uche replied that it is already being marketed. A MOU with the contactor has been <br />prepared and will need to be finalized when the time comes. The project will provide us with <br />30,000 metric tons of CO2. Only two property owners attended <br />2. Discussion Regarding Engineering Intern Program <br />Ken gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding the Engineering Intern Program. A brief <br />description of the Program and the process E&T staff goes through to recuit and employ <br />students for the program was provided to the Committee. Uche added that this Program <br />is project driven and project funded. Uche talked about the benefits for both the interns <br />and the department and referred to E&T's own success story, Assistant Engineer Nicole <br />Castelino, who started her career with the City as an intern. <br />Uche feels that the interns are more productive if they continue with E&T for as long as <br />possible, which is the reason those hired have first preference for positions the following <br />summer. Steve commented how successful and well recognized the program has <br />become. He hopes that it will be a model for other departments. The program has been <br />
