A cost analysis will be <br />included <br />4e: General Plan Amendment -The goals and policies for inclusion in future updates <br />to the Circulation Element of the General Plan will be identified and compiled in a <br />Technical Memorandum <br />Deliverables: Three versions of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan; Executive Summary of the <br />Plan; and General Plan Amendment document. <br />Meetings: The Draft Plan and Final Draft Plan will be presented to the BPAC for their comment <br />and approval (2 meetings). <br />Task 5: Prepare Trails and Bikeways User Map <br />Consultant will review materials previously developed by the City and others including EBBC's <br />West of the Hills map incorporating the existing trail and bikeway system. Major streets not <br />included in the bikeway system will be defined by a suitability rating to alert bicyclists to the <br />difficulty of riding on the non-designated routes. The map will include the location of bicycle <br />parking, bicycle shops, recreation and activity centers. The back side of the map will include safe <br />riding techniques, California rules of the road for operating a bicycle, and other pertinent <br />information to be developed by the City, BPAC and Consultant. To enhance the capabilities of <br />the user map, the City might want to consider adding some additional features. These are <br />described below under Optional Tasks. <br />Deliverable: Draft and Final of the User Map in the quantities and format specified in the RFP <br />Additional Task <br />Field Trips: Consultant will lead bicycle and/or walking trips in San Leandro to examine <br />potential bicycle facilities, pedestrian improvement areas, and known areas of concern. This trip <br />will be in addition to the meetings with the BPAC or city staff that are already considered in this <br />proposal. Field trips can be useful in educating participants that might not be as familiar with the <br />needs and requirements of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. They can be held during the week or <br />on a Saturday depending on the availability of participants.
