A cost analysis will be included 4e: General Plan Amendment -The goals and policies for inclusion in future updates to the Circulation Element of the General Plan will be identified and compiled in a Technical Memorandum Deliverables: Three versions of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan; Executive Summary of the Plan; and General Plan Amendment document. Meetings: The Draft Plan and Final Draft Plan will be presented to the BPAC for their comment and approval (2 meetings). Task 5: Prepare Trails and Bikeways User Map Consultant will review materials previously developed by the City and others including EBBC's West of the Hills map incorporating the existing trail and bikeway system. Major streets not included in the bikeway system will be defined by a suitability rating to alert bicyclists to the difficulty of riding on the non-designated routes. The map will include the location of bicycle parking, bicycle shops, recreation and activity centers. The back side of the map will include safe riding techniques, California rules of the road for operating a bicycle, and other pertinent information to be developed by the City, BPAC and Consultant. To enhance the capabilities of the user map, the City might want to consider adding some additional features. These are described below under Optional Tasks. Deliverable: Draft and Final of the User Map in the quantities and format specified in the RFP Additional Task Field Trips: Consultant will lead bicycle and/or walking trips in San Leandro to examine potential bicycle facilities, pedestrian improvement areas, and known areas of concern. This trip will be in addition to the meetings with the BPAC or city staff that are already considered in this proposal. Field trips can be useful in educating participants that might not be as familiar with the needs and requirements of bicycle and pedestrian facilities. They can be held during the week or on a Saturday depending on the availability of participants. Participants can include city staff, BPAC members, Planning Commission, City Council or the general public.
