-2- <br />Should the Council choose the "Triangle" project, staff recommends that this project be <br />substituted for the East 14th Street Improvements. <br />A copy of last year's staff report, Project Appropriations Request forms, and the Triangle <br />Project's Appropriations Project Summary are attached. Submissions are electronically due to <br />Senator Feinstein's office by February 5, with other Congressional submissions due by mid- <br />February. <br />This year's lobbying efforts will also include Council meetings with Housing and Urban <br />Development and the Department of Transportation officials to advocate for our TOD related <br />transportation and housing efforts. <br />CONCLUSION <br />Staff recommends that the City Council review the above projects and select three for <br />presentation to the City's congressional representatives for inclusion in the Federal FY 2011 <br />Budget. <br />Attachments <br />• January 15, 2009 Staff Report w/ U.S. Conference of Mayors' Economic Recovery <br />Survey on Infrastructure Job Potential <br />• Office of Senator Dianne Feinstein Fiscal Year 2010 Appropriations Request Forms (3) <br />• "Triangle Project" Excerpts <br />
