MINUTES Page 4 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-February 1, 2010 <br />Corina Lopez, Best Manor Homeowners Association, addressed the City Council, <br />commenting on the efforts by the Best Manor HOA to improve Siempre Verde Park. Ms. <br />Lopez urged the Council's support of the grant application for funding to improve the park, <br />noting that many improvements are still needed. <br />End of Public Comments on Consent Calendar <br />8. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are considered for approval by the City Council with one single <br />action. As described above in Item 7, Amendment of Consent Calendar, the City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of presentation or discussion. <br />Members of the public who have requested to address the Council regarding items remaining <br />on the Consent Calendar may do so for up to 3 minutes per item with a maximum of 5 <br />minutes for all items. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by <br />title. <br />Items 8.J. and 8.K. were removed from the Consent Calendar to Item 9, Items Removed <br />from Consent Calendar. The remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved <br />by the following vote: <br />M/S/C Reed and Prola. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of January 19, 2010. Ordinance No. 2010-001, an Ordinance Amending Provisions of the San Leandro <br />Zoning Code Relating to Water Efficient Landscape (amends the water conservations <br />standards to reduce overall water use on private and public properties in the City).(3081) <br />- Adopted <br />C. Ordinance No. 2010-002, An Ordinance Amending Article 1, Chapter 1-11 of the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code to Change the Date of the General Municipal Election to <br />Provide for Consolidation with the Statewide General Election (changes the election <br />date from June to November of even-numbered years in order to conduct the City's <br />Municipal Election using Ranked Choice Voting [RCV]). (1055) <br />- Passed to print and adopted <br />D. Matter of Report on the Status of the Local Emergency Due to the Threat to the Public <br />Health from the H1N1 Influenza Virus (continues the declaration of local emergency as <br />required by San Leandro Municipal Code §3-4-124). <br />
