IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2010-031 (3151) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE $1,338,000 FOR <br />FEDERAL JOBS FOR MAIN STREET ACT OF 2010 (JFMS) GRANT FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is submitting an application to the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission (MTC) for approximately $1,338,000 in funding from the federal <br />Jobs for Main Street Act of 2010 (JFMS) for the City of San Leandro Street Rehabilitation of <br />Doolittle Drive from Williams Street to Marina Boulevard, Estudillo Avenue from Harrison <br />Street to Bancroft Avenue, Fremont Avenue from Alvarado Street to Floresta Boulevard, <br />Teagarden Street 1,000 feet west of Alvarado Street and Washington Avenue from Lewelling <br />Boulevard to San Lorenzo Creek; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro understands that the JFMS funding is fixed at the <br />programmed amount and any increase in project costs cannot be expected to be funded with <br />additional JFMS funds; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That $1,338,000 be appropriated from grant funds. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Starosciak and passed and adopted this 15th day of <br />March, 2010, by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Prola, Starosciak, Stephens; Mayor Santos (4) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Gregory, Reed, and Souza (3) <br />ATTEST: ~ ~~~~ <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />
