MINUTES Page 4 <br />City of San Leandro City Council and San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting-March 1, 2010 <br />C. Proclamation Declaring March 2010 as "American Red Cross Month" in San Leandro. <br />Councilmember Gregory, representing American Red Cross Blood Services, accepted <br />the "American Red Cross Month" proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. He <br />commented on the services offered by the American Red Cross. <br />D. Proclamation Declaring March 2010 as "National Developmental Disabilities Month" <br />in San Leandro. <br />Richard Fitzmaurice, Director of Development and Public Information for the Arc of <br />Alameda County, accepted the "National Developmental Disabilities Month" <br />proclamation presented by Mayor Santos. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS-CITY COUNCIL <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the <br />Mayor. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it <br />to the City Clerk so the order of speakers maybe determined and an official record of names <br />and addresses obtained. <br />None. <br />4. PUBLIC HEARINGS-JOINT CITY COUNCIL/ REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />None. <br />5. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker, subject to adjustment by the Mayor. <br />When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the <br />City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and <br />addresses obtained. The public is invited to make comments on items of public interest NOT <br />listed on the Agenda. <br />Tony Yacek, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council, commenting on arrows and <br />other markings that have been painted on the sidewalk near his property. Mr. Yacek inquired <br />about what could be done to have the arrows removed. <br />Addie Kitchen, San Leandro resident, addressed the City Council regarding a recent Code <br />Red warning phone call she received that upset and irritated her. Ms. Kitchen commented <br />that she objected to the suspect description given in the notification, because it was so general <br />that many young African American males could have fit the description. <br />
