All <br />programs share the following five <br />components: <br />ENCOURAGEMENT <br />EDUCATION <br />ENGINEERING <br />ENFORCEMENT <br />EVALUATION <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY <br />Meet New Safe Routes Staff: They are Ready to Walk and Roll! <br />Alameda Safe Routes to Schools is <br />expanding in all directions. We serve <br />schools from all over the county with <br />schools in Newark and Livermore <br />being the most recent to receive our <br />services. To meet the need of <br />program expansion, SR2S has new <br />staff members on board, and they are <br />ready to Walk and Roll. <br />Meet Erika Rincon Whitcomb, she <br />loves working with parents to create <br />community efforts that make <br />neighborhoods safer for families to <br />enjoy. She is a site coordinator and is <br />expanding our programs to schools in <br />Union City, Newark and Livermore. <br />Meet Akon M. Walker, she is excited <br />to help parents get active at their <br />child's school. She is the Alameda <br />County District 3 site coordinator. <br />She serves schools in the cities of <br />Alameda, Oakland, San Leandro, <br />and San Lorenzo. <br />Meet Rachel Davidman, our <br />education coordinator; she is excited <br />to spread the word about the benefits <br />of walking and biking to school <br />through teacher training and parent <br />workshops. She is also the site <br />coordinator for Albany and Berkeley <br />schools. <br />Meet Judith Pierce, she joins <br />Alameda Safe Routes to Schools on <br />a part time basis as part of her work <br />with the Alameda County Department <br />of Public Health, Injury Prevention <br />Program.
