Hollister <br />City Manager <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH CITY MANAGER <br />STEPHEN L. HOLLISTER <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />On April 19, 2010, the City Council met in closed session to evaluate the job performance of the <br />City Manager. The City Council made the following determinations: <br />1. City Manager Stephen L. Hollister will be reappointed as City Manager effective July 1, <br />2010. <br />2. The employment agreement with City Manager Hollister includes the following noted <br />provisions: <br />• Salary at 15% above next highest compensated employee <br />• Six months salary and benefits severance clause or 180 days notice if agreement <br />is not renewed or extended <br />• Annual review of performance using City Council developed priorities <br />• Term -July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 <br />BACKGROUND <br />Analysis <br />The current City Manager contract expires on June 30, 2010. The effective date of this City <br />Manager contract is July 1, 2010 and expires June 30, 2011. <br />Current City Council Policy <br />The City Manager is appointed pursuant to Article IV, Section 400 of the San Leandro City <br />Charter and is employed under the provisions of a contractual services agreement for a defined <br />period of time. The contract may be renewed by the City Council if the job performance is <br />deemed satisfactory. <br />
