For each project <br />area many successful programs and projects over the past five years were reviewed -especially capital <br />improvement projects. Although, the recession and the possible State take-away from the Agency will <br />limit redevelopment projects in the next five year plan, the RAC and staff have had productive dialogue <br />regarding programs that remain a priority to the Plaza and Joint project areas <br />The priority projects in the Plaza area include: a potential downtown Property Business Improvement <br />District/Community Benefit District (PBID/CBD), Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Strategy and <br />Town Hall Square. <br />The priority projects in the Joint area include: enhanced parking opportunities, public transit use and the <br />pedestrian environment; TOD Strategy; redevelop 1550 East 14th Street; Estudillo-Callan Parking <br />Garage; and the PBID/CBD. <br />The final draft of the 2010-2014 Implementation Plan is scheduled to be brought to the Business and <br />Housing Development Committee in September or October 2010. <br />ATTACHMENTS <br />Draft Five Year Implementation Plan for the Plaza and Joint Areas <br />C}:\nRD\Files RDA\RAC\RAC tTndate Anril 2010 to R~$HDC.tincx <br />
