REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUNDS <br />19.6 <br />East Bay cities, universities, and research institutions. Chaired the Marketing <br />Committee which developed a new logo and website. <br />Provide design assistance under the commercial facade improvement program <br />for landscape improvements at Ridge Foundry. <br />In cooperation with Planning Services, assisted in negotiating a Development <br />Agreement with Kaiser Permanente for the Kaiser Medical Center project. <br />Implemented the Industrial Competitiveness Grant program to provide technical <br />assistance and fund capital improvements to assist manufacturers and other <br />industrial businesses in increasing energy efficiencies, thereby reducing their <br />costs. Held an Industrial Resources Fair to introduce businesses to service <br />providers and sponsored the participation of six companies in Natural Capitalism <br />Ines Sustainability Circles. <br />Housing Set-Aside Funds <br />• Approved nine loans for income-eligible low and moderate first-time <br />homebuyers awarded 19 minor home repair grants and two loans through the <br />Housing Rehabilitation Program. <br />• Completed Estabrook Place, a 51-unit rental development for very low <br />income seniors. The project developer and owner is the nonprofit Eden <br />Housing, Inc. <br />• Completed negotiations for the 100-unit affordable family rental housing <br />development called The Alameda at San Leandro Crossings. <br />~, <br />::a <br />+~~ , <br />
