IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2001- 64 (2096) <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 2001-2002 ACTION PLAN FOR <br />COMMUI~TITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS AND <br />' AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION AND SUBMISSION THEREOF BY THE CITY <br />MANAGER <br />Recitals <br />Through provisions of the Housing and Community Development Act and <br />amendments, the Federal Government has made block grant funding available to local <br />communities for the national objectives set forth in said Act. <br />The City of San Leandro has published notice and has held a public hearing as <br />required by the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to inform <br />citizens of the new activities for which funds will be used. <br />An Action Plan of Community Development objectives and the proposed use of <br />funds have been prepared reflecting the City proposals and citizen input; a copy of said <br />statement and list of activities is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. <br />The Council is familiar with the contents and has determined that the activities will give <br />maximum feasible priority to benefiting low- and moderate-income households or will <br />give aid in prevention or elimination of slums or blight. <br />The activities to be funded and carried out or constructed under this Action Plan <br />are exempt under one or more of the following CEQA sections: 15301, 1(A), 1(C), 1(D); <br />or 15267. <br />The City Manager recommends execution and submission of said Action Plan <br />with activities and certifications as attached. <br />
