Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report - FY 2000-2001 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Page 4 <br />Priority: Preserve existing affordable rental and ownership housing for <br />low- and moderate-income households. <br />Resources Used: <br />The City applied CDBG and Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside funds to further this <br />priority. <br />Activities Undertaken: <br />Housing Rehabilitation Program <br />0 The City contracted with Alameda County for the operation of the single-family <br />rehabilitation program, funded by CDBG and Redevelopment Agency Set-Aside <br />funds. The City program provided moderate rehabilitation loans and grants for <br />improvements and repairs to 50 very low- and moderate- income households. The <br />following programs were available: Housing Rehabilitation, Minor Home Repair, <br />Disabled Access, Exterior Painting, and Seismic Improvement grants. <br />In addition to the rehabilitation services operated by the County, the City provided <br />emergency clean up and sidewalk repair grants to three very-low income <br />homeowners. <br />Fundin Source Committed Accom lishments/Status <br />CDBG $191,239.77 Completed. Continue <br /> with FY2001 CDBG <br /> allocation <br />Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside $15,000 Completed. <br />Below Market Rate (BMR Program Monitoring <br />~ The City's Housing Division staff continued to monitor the Below Market Rate <br />affordable housing units through written quarterly reports and site visits. There are <br />currently 312 units in the program. <br />Multi-family Management Assistance Program (MMAP) <br />~ In conjunction with the Rental Housing Owners, the city conducted one session of the <br />Multi-family Management Assistance Program (MMAP) educational program. The <br />backbone of the program is a management course for owners and managers. The <br />MM~P classes were used to market the following programs among rental owners and <br />managers: the Section 8 Program, the Apartment Rehab Program, and the Rent <br />Review Program. <br />
