Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Report - FY 2000-2001 <br />City of San Leandro <br />Page 6 <br />Priority: Assist low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers. <br />Resources Used: <br />~ The City applied Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside funds to continue the First-Time <br />Homebuyer Program and the Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) Program. The <br />Redevelopment Agency started the implemented of the Inclusionary Housing Program <br />through agreements with private developers. <br />Activities Undertaken: <br />~ The First-Time Homebuyer Program provided low-interest, deferred-payment loans to <br />qualified low-, moderate-, and middle-income homebuyers. During the last year the <br />Agency funded 17second mortgages to first-time homebuyers. <br />~ The City sponsored and facilitated five homebuyer seminars for prospective income- <br />eligible first-time homebuyers. In addition to the consumer credit and home buying <br />education, participants received information on additional programs available through <br />private lenders and other agencies. <br />Fundin Source Committed Accom lishments/Status <br />Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside $123,000 Program to continue with <br /> FY2001-02 Housing Set- <br /> Aside <br />D The City continued support of the MCC program, administered by the County. <br />During the last year, four MCC certificates were made available to San Leandro <br />residents to finance mortgages for a total of $642,995. <br />Fundin Source Committed Accom lishments/Status <br />Redevelopment Housing <br />Set-Aside $800 <br />(county admin costs) Program to continue in FY <br />2001-02. <br />Inclusionary Housing Program <br />~ Forty-six Inclusionary Housing units were approved in two new developments -ten at <br />the Ryland Medallion and 36 at the Cherrywood.
