• <br />Appendix A-1 <br />Summary of Report Content <br />The following discussion details the minimum items and information expected for inclusion in the reports <br />described in the Exhibit A -Scope of Work. <br />Aquatic Facilities Evaluation (Per 2.1 above) <br />• Description of existing site conditions. <br />• Identify improvements/repairs which are essential to the operation of the facility or are required to meet <br />code compliance. (ADA compliance, California Pool Code, other codes as applicable) <br />• Estimate total construction cost to make identified improvements at each site. <br />Public Participation Work Plan (Per 2.2, Phase 1, above) <br />• Description of public outreach activities. <br />• Schedule for meetings, phone survey, and other public outreach activities <br />• Develop agenda for public meetings. <br />• Assist City in preparing phone survey as necessary. (Phone survey to be statistically representative, see <br />below.) <br />• Assist City in preparing questionnaires for use in handouts or advertised in paper (Note: this questionnaire <br />need not be statistically rigorous.) <br />Needs Assessment (Per 2.2, Phase 2, above) <br />• Prepare Master Plan of aquatic facilities based on the results of public comments and on the experiences of <br />other cities. <br />• Summarize of public comment from Public Hearings. <br />• Development of public questionnaire and summary ofresponses. <br />Phone survey of San Leandro residents. Survey to have an accuracy /response rate of 5%, and obtain <br />responses from a minimum of 400 San Leandro residents. Include backup data and statistical <br />evaluation of responses in an appendix to the report in a comprehensive summary report format. <br />Assumes a 2 page survey format (approximately 50 questions). <br />• Discussion of the relevance and significance of public opinion data obtained. <br />• Data on current pool users, attendance and operating costs. <br />• Prioritization of public needs. <br />• Sources of public support and projected attendance levels related to amenities. <br />• Design period attendance levels and derive related physical facility requirements. <br />• Inspect the sites and conduct an evaluation based upon such factors as parcel size and configuration, access, <br />exposure, utilities infrastructure and surrounding land uses. <br />• Weather data within nearest reporting area and determine average daily temperature and rainfall during <br />recommended effective and extended operating seasons. <br />Exhibit A, Appendix A 1 Page AS of 8 <br />09/11/01 Washington Manor Pool Refurbishment <br />
