Annual Sidewalk Program 2010-11 <br />Award of Contract 2 July 19 2010 <br />Analysis <br />A total of six (6) bids were received on July 6, 2010. The bids ranged from $222,950 to <br />$291,630, with AJW Construction submitting the lowest bid in the amount of $222,950, which <br />has been determined to be a responsive bid. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />On June 21, 2010, by Resolution No 2010-079, the City Council approved the plans and <br />specifications and call for bids for the Annual Sidewalk Program 2010-11 project. <br />Applicable General Plan Policy <br />Policy 14.07 -Pedestrian Environment -Strive to achieve a more comfortable environment for <br />pedestrians in all areas of San Leandro. <br />Environmental Review <br />This project is categorically exempt per CEQA Section 15301 (C). <br />Fiscal Impact <br />The total project cost is $426,000 and is funded by Measure B Streets & Roads and Bike & <br />Pedestrian funds, TDA grants and the General ,fund. The construction contract is expected to <br />cost $286,000. Program and construction management and inspection of the work is expected to <br />cost $140,000. <br />Budget Authority <br />• $340,000 has been budgeted in the, 2010-11 budget as follows: <br />o $170,000 Measure B Bike & Pedestrian Fund in account 144-36-006 <br />o $170,000 Measure B Streets & Roads Fund in account 144-38-006 <br />• $86,000 remains in CIP accounts allocated in previous years as follows: <br />o $47,000 Measure B Streets & Roads funds for drainage repair in account 144-38-285 <br />from the 2009-10 budget <br />o $24,000 General funds for repair of sidewalk located at City properties in account <br />210-38-126 from the 2008-09 budget <br />o $15,000 TDA funds for accessible curb ramps in account 150-36-291 from the 2009- <br />l Obudget <br />Attachments <br />Bid Summary <br />
